The POPIA and PAIA Ongoing Compliance Training Workshop addresses the key responsibilities of the Information Officer for ensuring that the organisation’s compliance framework is monitored, maintained and continually improved.
While this is a regulatory requirement, it is also good business practice to continually improve the organisations privacy and data protection practices as these practices create trust with customers, employees and other stakeholders.
The POPIA and PAIA Ongoing Compliance Training Workshop covers the ongoing compliance requirements as well as practical guidance for ongoing compliance and continual improvement.
The workshop can be provided via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Onsite depending on your requirements. The workshop has a duration of approximately 2 hours

To provide an understanding of the ongoing compliance requirements contained in POPIA Regulations and to provide practical guidance for addressing the requirements.

Who should attend this workshop?
Information Officers, Deputy Information Officers and team members who have responsibilities for overseeing compliance in their organisations should attend this workshop.
What is the duration of the workshop?
The workshop has a duration of approximately 2 hours. It is normally scheduled to take place between 09:00 and 11:00.
How is the workshop delivered?
The workshop is delivered as a virtual workshop using Microsoft Teams or in person for in-organisation delivery.
Who facilitates the workshop?
The POPIA and PAIA Ongoing Compliance Training is facilitated by John Cato or Dr Peter Tobin both of whom have privacy and data protection certifications as well as well in-depth experience in this field.
Will I receive a certificate for the workshop?
An e-certificate of attendance will be provided for each delegate who completes the workshop.
What are the workshop costs?
Workshop costs are R 750.00 plus VAT per delegate. Second and subsequent bookings from the same organisation for the same delivery dates are at R 650.00 plus VAT per delegate.
When are the workshops held?
Workshops are held once a month or more frequently if there is sufficient demand. The next workshop is scheduled for 26 February 2026.
