POPI E-Learning Course for Residential Estates

POPI E-Learning Course for Residential Estates

IACT-Africa, in conjunction with The Learning Studio, is pleased to introduce a POPIA implementation e-learning course for residential estate management teams.

The course is aimed at helping estate management teams to implement appropriate compliance measures for the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act/POPIA) and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).

The POPIA implementation e-learning course for residential estate management teams is intended primarily for estates who are following a self-service approach to their POPIA and PAIA compliance initiatives using the IACT-Africa POPIA and PAIA Self Package.  It also provides high value to estate management teams who have not bought the self-service package and want to learn about POPIA and how to apply the requirements in their estate.

What does the course include?

The course consists of 8 modules shown below:

Module 1: What is the POPI Act / POPIA?

Module 2:  The impact of POPIA on Residential Estates

Module 3: The Parties involved

Module 4: What actions are required?

Module 5: What to do to comply

Module 6: Applying the 8 POPIA Conditions for lawful processing

Module 7: Applying the 6 additional sections in POPIA

Module 8: POPIA as an ongoing requirement

Each module has a Quiz at the end which helps learners to recap and test their understanding of the content contained in the module. There are also summary reading documents for each module.

At the end of the course, there is a Summative Assessment which serves as a test of the learner’s comprehension of the course content.  Once the assessment has been completed successfully, a Certificate of Completion is issued.
