Good day
I am a Certified Data Protection Officer and provide a range of POPIA and PAIA training courses for organisations through our company, IACT-Africa. I have been providing consulting and training services in the protection of personal information areas since 2014. I therefore have sound experience in this area.
We have received a request for POPIA training for a psychiatric practice in Cape Town for the provision of training for their practice managers. We are happy to incorporate healthcare and clinical content taking into account your Guidelines on the Keeping of Patient Records as well as other legal and POPIA related requirements.
The training will not be accredited by a SETA or any other body so I would like to ask if a completion certificate showing the areas covered during the course will be acceptable by the HPCSA and if attendees will be credited with CPD points once they have completed the training course and submitted their attendance certificates. Please advise.
Thank you in anticipation for your response.
Kind regards
John Cato
