Information Security and Cybersecurity Training Workshop
The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act/POPIA) requires all organizations to implement measures for protecting the information for which they have a responsibility. The protection of personal information is, therefore, a legal obligation.
The protection of personal information is also a responsibility and obligation of all business management as the persons’ whose information expect their personal information to be protected in a secure and lawful manner.
What are Workshop Objectives?
The Information and Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop aims to provide awareness of the subject of information and cybersecurity and the context of these in residential estates from a Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act/POPIA) and business perspective.

What is the duration of the workshop?
The workshop of a duration of appriximately 2 hours. It is normally scheduled to take place between 09:00 and 11:00.
How is the workshop delivered?
The workshop is delivered as a virtual workshop using Zoom or Microsoft Teams or in person for in-organisation delivery.
Who facilitates the workshop?
The workshop is facilitated by Dr Peter Tobin and John Cato both of whom have privacy and data protection certifications as well as well in depth experience in this field.
Will I receive a certificate for the workshop?
An e-certificate of attendance will be provided for each delegate who completes the workshop.
